DIAGNOSIS: Metastatic Prostate Cancer

PROGNOSIS: 30% 5 Year Survival Rate

DECISION: cancer is going to die. I am going to live

RESULT: Nine years later, not dead but Thriving

Being a survivor was never my goal. I decided to embark on finding the best combination of nature and science to build the healthiest, strongest, most purposeful life possible. I decided to come out of my cancer diagnosis stronger than I went into it. Everything that followed started with that one decision.

What if we've been thinking about cancer the wrong way?

And what if changing the way we think about cancer changes everything?

What if we could begin to see many cancers not as an inevitable death sentence, but as manageable chronic diseases—conditions we learn to live with, treat, and control? And in the best-case scenarios, what if we could prevent many more cancers and completely eradicate others?

Did you know that across all invasive cancers in the United States, about seven out of ten people are alive five years after diagnosis? That's already more encouraging than many people imagine.

Did you know that inherited genes only increase risk—they do not guarantee cancer or determine your destiny?

If there are multiple credible ways to improve our odds, shouldn't we understand them all?

What if we could reduce or eliminate the things that increase our risk of cancer?

Simply, what if we could do better?

I believe we can.

I believe it's time to change the paradigm—not by rejecting what we already know or abandoning the current standard of care, but by expanding what we're willing to explore; not by choosing science over nature, or nature over science, but by embracing the best of both and asking better questions.

This isn't about miracle cures or false hope. It's about thinking more critically, asking better questions, exploring every credible option, and bringing together the best of modern medicine, evidence-based integrative therapies, nutrition, movement, mindset, and human resilience.

When I was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer, I quickly discovered that the questions I asked were just as important as the diagnosis itself. Some of those questions weren't answered to my satisfaction, so I became my own advocate. I did my own research. I explored every credible option I could find. That philosophy has served me well.

I don't claim to have all the answers. But I do believe the brightest future in cancer care belongs to those with the curiosity to ask better questions and the courage to explore better answers.

Let's build that future together.
